Service In Action

There's always something happening at the Washington Rotary Club. Whether we're awarding scholarships, mentoring students, supporting local schools, preserving our history, feeding families, cleaning up our community, building ramps, or partnering on global humanitarian projects, every initiative reflects our commitment to Service Above Self. These are just some of the ways Rotarians are making a difference—one project, one partnership, and one neighbor at a time.

Great Finds. Greater Purpose.

The Washington Rotary Club’s Annual Auction is one of our largest and most anticipated fundraising events of the year. Each year, our community comes together to bid on an incredible variety of donated items, unique experiences, and local treasures, all while supporting a cause that extends far beyond auction night. Every winning bid helps fund local scholarships, youth programs, community service projects, and other initiatives that make a lasting difference throughout Washington and Wilkes County. When the final item is sold, the true value of the evening isn’t what’s taken home—it’s what’s made possible for our community through Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self.

Sweet Tradition. Lasting Impact.

Every spring, the Washington Rotary Club brings the sweet taste of Georgia to our community through our annual Vidalia Onion Fundraiser. This long-standing tradition is one of our signature fundraising events, offering farm-fresh, authentic Georgia Vidalia onions while raising vital funds to support local service projects, scholarships, youth programs, and community initiatives throughout Washington and Wilkes County. Vidalia onions are grown exclusively in South Georgia and are celebrated nationwide for their unmistakably sweet flavor and exceptional quality. Whether you’re stocking your pantry or sharing with friends and family, every bag purchased makes a meaningful impact right here at home.

Stacks of Pancakes. Mountains of Good.

The Washington Rotary Club’s Annual Pancake Supper is one of our longest-standing and most cherished community traditions. Each year, neighbors, families, and friends gather to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a cause that reaches far beyond the dinner table. Every ticket purchased helps fund local scholarships, youth programs, community service projects, and other initiatives that make a lasting impact throughout Washington and Wilkes County. Whether you’re joining us for the pancakes, the fellowship, or the opportunity to give back, every plate served helps strengthen our community.

Serving Washington and Beyond

Rotary is proof that a community grows stronger when people choose to serve instead of stand on the sidelines. It's an honor to serve in a club that never stops looking for ways to make Washington even better."
